Bear Witness to Ice Violence Vigils
Embedded Files
Capital District Border Watch (CDBW) has brought together faith leaders from multiple traditions, immigrant-led groups, grassroots activists, workers and unions, community organizations, and trusted local partners with the intent that each group takes turns organizing a weekly Memorial Event.
Purpose of the Memorial Event:
Honor the lives of those unlawfully detained, deported & murdered by ICE.
Bear witness about the killings, detentions & deportations.
Join in a public commitment not to forget ICE violence and its impact.
Create a visible, moral witness against violence, intimidation, and impunity.
Pause, reflect and deepen our solidarity with our community who has been so egregiously impacted by the current immigration policies of the federal government.
