We print letters that we get from the researchers at Swing Left and Vote Forward and bundle them in packets with 20 letters, 20 envelopes, detailed instructions and names & addresses. Similarly, we bundle our postcards in packets of 20 and distribute them with instructions and addresses.

We arrange 10-15 sites on front porches throughout the Capital Region where we can place a weather-proof plastic bin we call our pick up boxes. We regularly fill these boxes with our packets of letters and postcards.

For letters: Writers pick up packets from one of our boxes. They add a few sentences to each letter about why they vote in every election, then return the stamped sealed letters to any box and pick up more bundles to write. All the letters are held by us and mailed in October.

This homegrown, grass roots, well-oiled machine allowed our writers to mail 104,000 letters and 30,000 postcards in the 2024 elections.
